Chavern joins newspaper association as top executive

Former U.S. Chamber of Commerce COO to lead organization taking the lead in trying to help struggling industry survive Chavern David Chavern, the former U.S. Chamber of Commerce COO, has been named CEO of the Newspaper Association of America—a selection meant to transform the group into one that will guide the newspaper industry into the digital age.
